Beta Beta Beta is a national Honors Society particularly for undergraduate Biology Students. It is dedicated to improving the understanding and appreciation of biological study and extending the boundaries of human knowledge through scientific research. Since its founding in 1922, more than 164,000 persons have been accepted into lifetime membership, and more than 406 chapters have been established throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.

The Life Science Organization (LSO) was organized in 1998 to create a formal mechanism for current students to interact and learn more about career and study opportunities.  LSO often sponsors guest lectures on relevant topics to students within the Biological Sciences department and sciences in general.  Members also provided service to the campus community as well as to the large central Ohio community through volunteer work and activities.  Members that meet the requirements for involvement, service, and scholarship are eligible for induction into tri-Beta (BBB) each spring.
